KSM Castings Group
The KSM Castings Group GmbH (KSM = Kloth Senking Metallgießerei) is a foundry and an automotive supplier . In addition to the headquarters in Hildesheim , the company operates plants in Radevormwald , Wuppertal , Wernigerode , Hrádek nad Nisou , Changchun , Chengdu , Qinhuangdao and Shelby (North Carolina) . The company dates back to 1947. In 1978 it was taken over by Salzgitter AG and in 1989 it moved to Thyssen AG . After being sold to the holding company Cognetas in 2005, it has belonged to the Chinese CITIC Dicastal Co., Ltd. since 2011 . , a wholly owned subsidiary of the CITIC Group . In the 2016 financial year, the 3,700 employees (as of December 31, 2016) generated sales of 525 million euros .
