The following KV27 |
The ancient Egyptian tomb KV26 in the Valley of the Kings (East Valley ) is a non-royal tomb whose owner is unknown. There is next to no information about the grave. KV26 is filled with rubble and inaccessible.
KV26 was discovered by James Burton before 1835, probably 1825 . Victor Loret visited the grave in 1898 and recorded its location. However, there are no reports of any excavation or excavation work. The grave is still unexplored and unpublished.
It consists of a simple right-angled entrance shaft and a corridor that leads into a chamber. The grave is undecorated. KV26 is similar to other 18th Dynasty tombs and is therefore dated to the New Kingdom period. But it also shows similarities to the graves KV30 and KV37 .
