Jaroslav Kačmarčík
Jaroslav Kačmarčík (born March 3, 1954 ) is a former Czechoslovak orienteer and ski orienteer .
Kačmarčík started between 1974 and 1987 at a total of eight world championships in orienteering. His greatest successes came with the Czechoslovak relay. At the 1979 World Championships in Tampere , Finland , the team consisting of Petr Uher , Zdeněk Lenhart , Jiří Ticháček and Kačmarčík won the bronze medal behind Sweden and Finland. After a fourth place in Thun 1981, the Czechoslovaks won silver behind Norway in 1983 in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary . Jaroslav Kačmarčík ran here in a team with Vlastimil Uchytil , Pavel Ditrych and Jozef Polák . At these world championships, Kačmarčík also achieved his best individual result with sixth place. Prior to that, he was in the top ten twice in 1976 with ninth place and 1981 with seventh place.
In addition, Kačmarčík started in competitions in ski orienteering. He ran in this discipline at the World Championships in Bulgaria in 1977 and in Sweden in 1980 and won the bronze medal in the relay race in 1977 with Jan Pachner , Jiří Ticháček and Jaromír Gorny .
He has been the head coach of the Italian national team since 2009.
