Kabaret is the eighth studio album by the French singer Patricia Kaas .
About the album
The album was first released on December 15, 2008 as a download. The physical release followed internationally on February 6, 2009, followed by the French version, a double CD Kabaret - En studio et sur scène (German: In the studio and on the stage) on March 30th.
Kabaret written with a K, as in Kaas and the German word Kabarett , pays homage to the 1930s and successful artists at the time such as Greta Garbo , Suzy Solidor or Martha Graham .
For the first time Kaas wrote a song alone, namely the piece Une dernière fois .
Together with her long-term partner Fréderic Helbert, she arranged the pieces Le jour se lève , Et s'il fallait le faire and Falling In Love Again . In addition to French, Kaas also sings pieces with German and English lyrics on the album.
