history

The small stage was a cabaret theater in the Soviet sector , which had no permanent venue. That is why the actors appeared in canteens and cultural centers of larger companies, which is why it was also nicknamed company cabaret. This is where the former playwrights of the Frischer Wind cabaret , including Emil Rudolf Greulich , found a new home. The actors of the first demonstrable performance in the Berlin police headquarters included Robert Trösch , Herbert Köfer , Georgia Kullmann , Loni Michelis and Frank Michelis . As early as September 14, 1949, there was evidence of a broadcast from the Kleine Bühne on Berlin radio . In October 1953, the small stage cabaret merged with other Berlin cabaret artists to form the newly founded cabaret theater Distel . Now they also received a permanent venue that was already intended for the forerunner, the Fresh Wind - the converted hall of the Admiral Casino in the Admiralspalast .
