Kabayan is a Filipino municipality in the Benguet Province . It has 15,260 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). The community borders the Mount Pulag National Park and is in the heart of the Cordillera Central .
The community is a center of the "Ibaloi culture", which is known for its colorful costumes and especially for the " Kabayan mummies ". A small museum in the community exhibits artifacts, costumes and examples of the "Kabayan mummies".
