Cabinet Hoti
The Hoti cabinet had been the government of Kosovo since June 3, 2020, with Avdullah Hoti as Prime Minister .
After Albin Kurti's government, in which Hoti was Deputy Prime Minister, collapsed in March 2020, Hoti was nominated as the new Prime Minister by President Hashim Thaçi on April 23, 2020 . However, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo stopped the formation of a government on May 1, 2020. On May 28, 2020, the Constitutional Court revoked this decision. On June 3, 2020, Hoti was elected Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo by the Parliament of the Republic of Kosovo with 61 votes out of 120, 24 against and one abstention.
In December 2020, the Constitutional Court declared the government's election to be invalid because a member of parliament had participated who was actually not allowed to do so due to a previous conviction. The government received the necessary majority of 61 votes only because of his illegitimate vote. Parliament must be re-elected within 40 days.
