Vera Cruz cabinet
The Vera Cruz cabinet was the 11th São Tomé and Príncipes government , in Portuguese the XI Governo Constitucional de São Tomé e Príncipe . This government of the African island state of São Tomé and Príncipe was formed on April 21, 2006 by Prime Minister Tomé Vera Cruz . In the cabinet, representatives of the two electoral allies PCD and MDFM were involved, who won 23 of the 55 seats in the Assembleia Nacional in the 2006 parliamentary elections. When the minority government was unable to find a majority in the budget debate in 2008, Vera Cruz and his cabinet resigned on February 14, 2008. The PCD and MDFM were able to form a new government by participating in the ADI, led by Patrice Trovoada, in Trovoada's first cabinet .
