Kaczynos (German Katznase ) is a village in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Gmina Stare Pole (Altfelde) , in the Powiat Malborski (Marienburg) . The place has 375 inhabitants.

history

Due to the provisions of the Versailles Treaty , the population in the Marienwerder voting area , to which Katznase belonged, voted on July 11, 1920 on whether they would continue to belong to West Prussia (and thus to Germany) or join Poland. In Katznase, 275 people voted to remain with West Prussia, while Poland did not.
