Kader Nouni
Kader Nouni (born February 23, 1976 ) is a French tennis referee .
Career
Nouni, who grew up in Perpignan , started playing amateur matches at the local tennis club when he was 15. At 16 he became a line judge at the French Open . Since 2005 he has been a professional referee at ATP and WTA tournaments up to the level of Grand Slams . In 2009 he directed the women's final of the French Open . His trademarks are his afro look and his deep voice.
In 2012, Kader Nouni was best known for his decision in the 5-set second round match between David Nalbandian and John Isner at the 2012 Australian Open . In the last set, at a score of 8: 8, Nalbandian's advantage, he overruled the decision of a linesman who served from Isner. Nalbandian then wanted a hawk-eye decision, but Nouni refused it.
