Kadir Akbulut (* 1983 in Sakarya , Turkey ) is a Turkish writer and director .

Life

Kadir Akbulut was born in Sakarya (Turkey) in 1983. He attended elementary school in his hometown of Adapazarı . In Üsküdar Anadolu Lisesi and Haydarpaşa Teknik Lisesi, he completed the intermediate level. In 1997 he worked as an actor in the play " The Marriage Proposal " by Anton Chekhov at the Istanbul Büyüksehir Belediyesi Sehir Tiyatrolari Müsahipzade Celal Sahnesi (City Theater - Müsahipzade Celal Stage).

He gave up his computer science studies at the Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi for the theater and instead trained at the Tevfik Gelenbe Tiyatrosu Theater. At this time he became interested in cinema and began making short films. He wrote about movies in several magazines and newspapers and was involved in a cinema show on a local radio station.

With the help and support of the Sakarya Büyüksehir Belediyesi (Sakarya Municipality) he founded the organization "Adapazari Sinemacilari". In about four years he has shown many short and feature films and organized seminars. The famous play “Tahterevallide Üç Kiş” by Luigi Lunari was performed by him in Sakarya. He also worked on the film "Melekler ve Kumarbazlar" as assistant director to Ertekin Akpinar.

He studied drama at the Kocaeli Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakanschesi Sahne Sanatlari Bölümü (Academy of Fine Arts Kocaeli). His thesis dealt with the drama of the townspeople in Orhan Kemal's plays. Parallel to this work he wrote the play "Para Sevdasi", which shows similarities to the work of Orhan Kemal. Two of his plays were performed at World Theater Day activities. In addition, another piece of his was performed at the "AcilimAcil" activities by the health care workers on the large Kocaeli SDKM stage . His piece "Nerim'inKendineAitOdasi" was brought to the stage in the Kocaeli Fakanschesi Atölye.

With an Erasmus scholarship, he went to Frankfurt in 2014 to do an internship in the theater periphery. In the theater sector he has contributed to the performances of the plays “Maria Magdalena” and “Waiting for Godot”. After returning to Turkey, he worked as a trainer. At Geyve Belediyesi Halk Egitim Merkezi (Geyve Community Seminar Center) he gave a theater course for teachers. In the Sahin schools he was a theater teacher for a while. He was recognized by Adapazari Lions Kulübü for his contribution to culture and art. In Sakarya Valiligi İl Kültür TurizmM Müdürlüğü he worked as a theater instructor. In 2012 he started working at Doga Koleji (Doga High School) as a theater and cinema teacher. He carried out street theater and short films with his students. The short film "Dügün", which he is responsible for, won the "2nd prize" competition. Doğa'L Plato ”took first place.

In the academic year 2013/14 he is an instructor at Ataşehir Incity & Oxford Koleji and has published texts on theater and films on various platforms.
