Kadir Bekmezci (born July 5, 1985 in Belgium ) is a Belgian- Turkish football player . With 180 first division appearances for Sivasspor , he is the player with the most Süper Lig appearances in the club's history.

Career

Bekmezci joined Koninklijke Heusden-Zolder from the Standard Liège youth team . This was followed by a move to AS Eupen and KFC Verbroedering Geel .

In 2007, Bekmezci decided to continue his career in Turkey . So he accepted the offer from the promoted Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ , the second club of the better-known Gençlerbirliği Ankara , and moved to the Süper Lig . At Gençlerbirliği OFTAŞ, which changed his name to Hacettepe SK for the 2018/09 season , he quickly established himself as a regular player and played continuously until the summer of 2009.

After Hacettepe missed relegation at the end of the 2008/09 season and had to relegate to the second division, Bekmezci left the capital city and moved to the first division club Sivasspor . At this club, too, Bekmezci immediately established himself as a regular player and top performer. Here he replaced Hayrettin Yerlikaya in May 2015 with his 180 first division appearances for Sivasspor as the player with the most Süper Lig appearances in the club's history.

In the summer of 2015, he received no contract extension at Sivasspor on the directive of head coach Sergen Yalçın and therefore moved within the league to the newly promoted Antalyaspor . With this club he came to 17 league appearances in his first season. After he had not played a competitive game in the first half of his second season, he moved to the second division Boluspor in the winter transfer period of 2016/17 . For the 2017/18 season, Bekmezci moved on to league rivals Elazığspor .
