The Egerland volume and grain measure was about 3 1/3 Bohemian line . Settlements for the expenses of the Eger Castle indicate the use of the measure as early as 1665.

  • 1 Kahr = 8 Massl = 32 well / Napp = 192 Kandeln = 4 5/8 Metzen (Wiener) = about 300 liters = 2.98759 hectolitre (allgem cereals;. For oats 3.08 hectoliters)
  • 10 bowls = 1 bohemian line = 4 quarters = 16 stalks = 192 Seidel = 4759 Parisian cubic inches = 94.401 liters (Prague value; otherwise 4600 Parisian cubic inches = 91.247 liters)
  • 100 Kahr wheat = 130 bushels (Bavarian) and 100 Kahr oats = 138 bushels (Bavarian) Comparison of dimensions from September 23, 1842

Switzerland

  • 1 Kahr / Kar = 10 Mäßel = 40 pounds (Switzerland.)
