Kaikhosru Dadhaboy Sethna

Kaikhosru Dadhaboy (KD) Sethna ( Hindi : कैखुसरो दादाभाई सेठना, Kaikhusaro Dādābhāī Seṭhnā; also Amal Kiran , Hindi: अमल किरण, Amal Kiraṇ; born November 26, 1904 ; † June 29, 2011 in Puducherry ) was an Indian poet , philosopher , Historian , cultural critic , author , editor and religious disciple of Sri Aurobindo.

Life

Sethna graduated from Bombay University . Born as a Zoroastrian Parse , the scholar went to the Ashram of Aurobindo Ghosh in 1927 , became his student and turned to Hinduism . Sethna dedicated himself to the integral yoga of Aurobindo and Mira Alfassa . Aurobindo named it "Amal Kiran" ( pure ray ) in 1930 .

Sethna's first volume of poetry, Inmost Beauty , was published in 1933. From 1949 he was co-editor of Mother India magazine at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram for almost 50 years . He published more than 40 books.

Sethna celebrated his 100th birthday in the Beach Office of the Sri Aurobindo Society. He last lived in the nursing home of the Aurobindo Ashram.
