John Baptist Kakubi
John Baptist Kakubi (born September 23, 1929 in Birundama , † February 11, 2016 in Kampala ) was Bishop of Mbarara .
Life
John Baptist Kakubi was ordained a priest for the diocese of Mbarara on June 11, 1960 .
Pope Paul VI appointed him on June 26, 1969 Bishop of Mbarara. The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on August 1st of the same year ; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Sergio Pignedoli , Secretary of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , and Emmanuel Kiwanuka Nsubuga , Archbishop of Kampala .
On November 23, 1991, Pope John Paul II accepted his early resignation.
