Kalev Kesküla

Kalev Kesküla (born October 22, 1959 in Tallinn , † June 25, 2010 ) was an Estonian poet , journalist and wine critic .

life and work

Kalev Kesküla studied Estonian Philology at the State University of Tartu until 1983 . From 1983 to 1995 he was an editor at Eesti Entsüklopeediakirjastus . Since 1991 he has been in charge of the features section of the largest Estonian weekly newspaper, Eesti Ekspress .

Kalev Kesküla has also appeared as a poet since the 1980s. His texts are often oriented towards social issues and occasionally seasoned with a strong dash of irony . Kesküla has also published numerous Estonian wine guides.
