Potassium toxin 2 (synonym potassium channel toxin alpha-KTx 3.5 ) is a toxin from the scorpion Androctonus australis .

properties

Kaliotoxin 2 is a protein and scorpion toxin from A. australis , as is Kaliotoxin 1 . It binds and inhibits dendrotoxin- sensitive voltage-gated potassium channels . Kaliotoxin 1 and 2 are structurally most closely related to Agitoxin 1 , Agitoxin 2, and Agitoxin 3 .
