Kalle Sahlstedt (born August 25, 1973 in Rauma ) is a former Finnish ice hockey player .

Career

Kalle Sahlstedt began his career as an ice hockey player with Lukko Rauma , for which he was active in the SM-liiga from 1991 to 1997 . During this time he finished third with his team in 1994 and 1996. Then Sahlstedt moved to their league rivals TPS Turku , with whom he achieved a title hat trick in 1998, 1999 and 2000. In addition, the attacker and the team reached third place in the European Hockey League 2000 .

In the summer of 2001 the Finn signed a contract with HV 71 Jönköping in the Swedish Elitserien , with which he became Swedish champions in 2004 . After four years, Sahlstedt returned to Finland in 2005, where he was signed by Kärpät Oulu , with whom he was defeated by the Russian representative HK Dynamo Moscow in the 2006 final of the IIHF European Champions Cup . In 2007 and 2008, Sahlstedt won his Finnish championships number four and five with Kärpät before signing with their league rivals KalPa Kuopio before the 2008/09 season . There he ended his career in 2010.

International

For Finland Sahlstedt took part in the Junior World Championship in 1993 .
