Kamel Chafni (born June 11, 1982 in Bordeaux ) is a Moroccan football player.

Career

society

Kamel Chafni began his professional career in 2000 at FC Libourne-Saint-Seurin . In 2001 he moved to FC Sochaux on a free transfer .

A season later he also moved to RC Besançon on a free transfer . There he became a regular player. He played a total of 32 games in the National . After promotion, he played another 30 games in Ligue 2 . Overall, he scored 14 goals in the two years for RC Besançon.

He then moved to league competitor LB Châteauroux in 2004 . There he played 28 times and scored a total of 8 times. In 2005 he moved to Ligue 1 for AC Ajaccio . He made his first division debut there and played 34 times in the season for Ajaccio. But Ajaccio's record of two goals in 34 games did not save either. In the season they were relegated to Ligue 2 . But Kamel Chafni remained loyal to AC Ajaccio and played a total of 22 more games in Ligue 2 and scored twice again.

In 2007 he then moved to AJ Auxerre in Ligue 1. In his first season there, he slowly became a regular and a key player. In the 2007/2008 season he played 31 games and scored two goals. Last season he played 27 times, scored one goal and received three yellow cards. He also played once in the Coupe de France and once in the Coupe de la Ligue . Both times in AJ Auxerre's jersey.

The 27-year-old Moroccan is starting his third season in Auxerre with the number 7 on his back.

National team

He made his international debut for the Moroccan national team on August 20, 2008 against Benin (3-1). He played a total of twelve international matches until 2014, but failed to score one goal.
