Urach camera office

The Urach Kameralamt was an institution of the Kingdom of Württemberg that administered state property and income in the administrative district. It existed in Urach from 1806 to 1922 . The camera office was created as part of the reorganization of the state finance administration in the Kingdom of Württemberg.

On June 4, 1819, an edict was issued by the king, according to which the number of existing camera offices was reduced from 87 to 79. As a result, the Münsingen camera office ceded the places Gruorn and Trailfingen to the Urach camera office.

By resolution of April 6, 1836, the Urach camera office ceded the town of Grabenstetten to the Neuffen camera office , which was then in agreement with the Nürtingen regional office.

According to an ordinance of March 6, 1843, the number of camera offices was again reduced and set at 65. The camera office in Urach received the town of Grabenstetten back from the camera office in Neuffen, and the camera office in Pfullingen ceded the places Mittelstadt, Reicheneck and Sondelfingen to the camera office in Urach.

According to the information in the Court and State Manual of 1843, the Urach Kameral and Oberamt comprised the following 28 communities with their hamlets and farms: Urach, Bempflingen, Bleichstetten, Böhringen, Dettingen, Donnstetten, Gächingen, Glems, Grabenstetten, Gruorn, Hengen, Hülben , Lonsingen, Metzingen, Mittelstadt, Neuhausen an der Erms, Ohnastetten, Reicheneck, Riederich, Rietheim, Seeburg, Sirchingen, Sondelfingen, Trailfingen, Upfingen, Wittlingen, Würtingen and Zainingen. This classification was not changed until 1922.
