action

The little orphan girl Kamilla lives with her uncle Ole and her aunt Louise, who are very wealthy. But when Louise decides to send Kamilla to boarding school in Denmark, Ole acts and sends Kamilla to her sister Sofie. She lives in Engstad and works for the wealthy Sutton family.

On the way there, Kamilla meets the nice Sebastian Kåk, who has just lost his job and stole from his former boss. Sebastian protects Kamilla and, after missing the train, accompanies her on foot to Engstad. On the way there, the two meet the escaped convict Joakim Jensen, who holds the two of them overnight and steals their money and watch.

After Sebastian has brought Kamilla safely to her sister, he disappears, while Kamilla gradually begins to make friends in the village.

In return for his clothes and a few thefts, Sebastian manages to get Kamilla's watch back from Joakim Jensen.

When Kamilla has to enter old Simon's empty house at night for a test of courage, she meets Sebastian again, who is hiding there with Joakim Jensen. Sebastian tells Kamilla that he is a thief.

After Joakim Jensen has disappeared with the treasures he had stolen together, Sebastian begins to think and begins to read the Bible, which Kamilla forgot in the hut at night.

When Kamilla brings him breakfast the next morning, he tells her that from now on he doesn't want to be a thief anymore and gives her a self-made dragon.

But when the two let the kite fly, they are surprised by the villagers and the police officer. And although Kamilla urges Sebastian to run away, he explains to her that he now has to go to jail to serve his guilt.

Reviews

"A nice adventure film for children, which, however, also contains some frightening scenes and whose conflict resolution is a bit too easy."
