The Kampalpe is a 1535 m above sea level. A. high and little visited mountain in the Rax-Schneeberg-Gruppe on the border between Lower Austria and Styria .
The mountain can be climbed from Spital am Semmering or via the long-distance hiking trail 801 A ( Northern Alpine Trail Neusiedlersee - Lake Constance). The tour is considered to be unproblematic and easy in all seasons. Good equipment is only necessary in winter. The closest hut to the east is the Pinkenkogel Schutzhaus on the Pinkenkogel of the same name above Semmering , but it is closed and unmanaged, walking time approx. 2½ hours. In the west, the Scheibenhütte (open from April to October on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, walking time approx. 2½ hours).
