Kandertal (Switzerland)

The Kandertal is a valley in the Swiss Bernese Oberland . The Kander flows through it, runs in a north-south direction, has a length of approx. 13 km and connects the two villages of Frutigen and Kandersteg . To the north of Frutigen the valley is called Frutigtal .

The Lötschberg mountain route BLS AG runs through the Kandertal . The valley is divided into the communities of Kandergrund and Kandersteg . The type of settlement is dominated by scattered individual rural properties, the only larger closed settlement being Kandersteg.

A popular destination is the Blausee .
