action

The United States at the time of the Cold War : many classic avocado growing areas are being lost to the class enemy. The fruit is becoming increasingly political. The American government chooses to act. The last free cultivation area in the western world, an impassable jungle area in the US state of California , which is ruled by the dangerous tribe of piranha women, is to be brought under control. The radical and militant community of cannibals - according to legend, they are supposed to seduce men, kill and eat them - is to be persuaded to move to a reservation. In reality, the "avocado affair" is only faked to subdue the feminine people.

Ethnologist and feminist Dr. Margo Hunt is commissioned to travel to the impassable jungle area and to mediate on behalf of the government, since the male-eater is claiming ever larger parts of the jungle. In addition, she is said to be the disappearance of her colleague Dr. Enlighten Kurtz, of whom there has been no sign of life for two years. Together with her lisping student Bunny and the cheeky scout Jim, Margo's ex-boyfriend, the leading actress finally travels the dangerous avocado region.

After all kinds of adventures, the trio finally comes across the warlike piranha tribe, who host them. Dr. Kurtz-led women then force Bunny and Margo to an absurd acceptance ritual, which the brave Margo eludes. The feminist flees aimlessly into the wilderness, where she soon encounters the Barracuda tribe, who are hostile to the piranha . They take Margo as a friend in their ranks. The lecturer then tries to save her two travel companions. A struggle for rule over the Amazons ensues, which Margo ultimately wins. The defeated Francine, who has meanwhile been exposed as a hypocrite by the winner, chooses suicide. The two Amazon tribes unite.

Back in civilization, the self-confident Margo confronts the responsible military and exposes their misogynistic views. She threatens the men with the media public and then extorts research money for her university. In the end, personal happiness also comes along. Bunny and Jim marry, while Margo finds the long-awaited soul mate in the native Jean-Pierre.
