The canton Neustadt was an administrative unit in the Marburg district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Westphalia . The seat of the cantonal administration was the small town of Neustadt in today's Marburg-Biedenkopf district . The canton comprised 10 villages and a city, was inhabited by 5,361 people and had an area of 2.66 square miles .
