The pulpit in the former monastery church of St. Thomas an der Kyll in Sankt Thomas , a local community in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm in Rhineland-Palatinate , was created in 1634.

The stone pulpit donated by the conventuals Anna Catarina Juliana and Maria Jacobe von Kesselstatt came to the Catholic parish church of St. Simon and Juda in Deudesfeld when the monastery was dissolved in 1802 .

The pulpit probably comes from the refectory of the monastery. The stone base with a fluted column has been lost.

Ernst Wackenroder wrote in 1928:

“A broad, swelling four-sided stone covered with a fitting pattern supports the pulpit, which is straight below and formerly protruding from the wall with three sides, as a graceful transition capital. The front shield with a sign [of the donors], held by an angel, the somewhat narrower sides with the richly executed coats of arms of the von Kesselstatt and von Eltz families. "

Today the pulpit in the former monastery church of St. Thomas an der Kyll is used as a lectern in front of the choir .
