Kaoru Takayama ( Japanese 髙 山 薫 , Takayama Kaoru ; born July 8, 1988 in Kawasaki , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

Career

Kaoru Takayama learned to play football in the youth team of Kawasaki Frontale and in the university team of Senshū University . He signed his first professional contract with Shonan Bellmare in 2011 . The club from Hiratsuka , a city in the south of the Japanese prefecture of Kanagawa , played in the second highest Japanese league, the J2 League . In 2012 he was runner-up with the club in J2 and rose to the top division. After a season in the J1 League , the club had to return to the second division at the end of 2013. After relegation, he left the club and joined Kashiwa Reysol , a first division club from Kashiwa , in 2014 . After a year, he signed a contract with his former club and first division promoted Shonan Bellmare in early 2015. At the end of 2016, he rose again with the club in the second division. In the following season Shonan was champion of J2 and rose straight back to the first division. In 2018, the first division club Ōita Trinita from Ōita signed him.
