Cape Begichev ( Russian Мыс Бегичева Mys Begitschewa , Norwegian Kapp Begichev ) is a headland on the Crown Prince Olav coast of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It lies on the west side of the Carstensfjella and represents the western boundary of the Buhta Protalina .
Russian scientists named them after the Soviet Antarctic explorer Nikifor Alexejewitsch Begitschew (1874–1927).
