The cape Cox is a cape , which at the Orville coast of West Antarctic Ellsworthlands northeastern end of Dodson Peninsula on the west edge of the Filchner-Ronne ice shelf marked.

It was discovered by participants in the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948). It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey and aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1961 and 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Larry Eugene Cox, radio operator at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station in the winter of 1964.
