Cape Dart is a cape on the north coast of Siple Island off the Bakutis coast of Marie Byrd Land in West Antarctica . It is located at the foot of Mount Siple immediately south of Lauff Island .
Scientists from the United States Antarctic Service Expedition (1939–1941) discovered the Cape in 1940 on a flight from West Base . Namesake is the American entrepreneur Justin Whitlock Dart Sr. (1907-1984) of the Walgreen Drug Compony , a sponsor of the expedition.
