Erich Haake

Erich Haake (born September 24, 1925 ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper. From 1954 to 1956 he played for BSG Chemie and SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt in the GDR Oberliga , the top division in GDR football .

Athletic career

After the end of the Second World War , Erich Haake belonged to the generation that revived football in Chemnitz . He took part in all positions from the Sportgemeinschaft Nord to the company sports associations (BSG) Fewa and Chemie to the Motor Sports Club. While he did not belong to the first team of BSG Fewa in the 1950/51 season, he was there regularly from the 1951/52 season on, until 1954 in the second-rate GDR league . When the BSG Chemie Karl-Marx-Stadt (the BSG had been renamed "Chemie" and Chemnitz to "Karl-Marx-Stadt") in 1953/54 made it to the GDR league, Haake was in 25 of 26 point games Gate of the Karl Marx townspeople. In the league seasons 1954/55 and 1956 (calendar year season) he was the undisputed goalkeeper number one of the team, which had been transferred to the newly founded SC Motor Karl-Marx-Stadt in 1956, with 47 appearances in 52 point games . After the 1956 season, Erich Haake ended his career in higher-class football.
