The Cape Maximov ( Russian Мыс Максимова Mys Maksimova , English Cape Maksimov ) is a cape off the coast of the East Antarctic Kaiser Wilhelm II.-country . It forms the northernmost branch in the northwestern part of the West Ice Shelf .
Scientists on a Soviet Antarctic expedition mapped and named it. It is named after the hydrograph Georgi Sergejewitsch Maximow , who took part in the expedition . According to the entry in the Composite Gazetteer of Antarctica , the cape is only present in remnants.
