The Cape Ross is a 54 m high cape of granite on the Scott-coast of the east Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located around 13 km north of Cape Archer .
Participants in the Nimrod Expedition (1907-1909), led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, discovered it. It is named after the British polar explorer James Clark Ross (1800–1862), who explored the Antarctic between 1839 and 1843.
