Cape Scrymgeour is a cape at the eastern end of Andersson Island in the Antarctic Sound off the northeastern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is characterized by towering cliffs made of red volcanic rock.
The name goes back to Thomas Robertson (1855-1918) in 1893, captain of the whaler Active in the Dundee Whaling Expedition (1892-1893). Namesake is John Scrymgeour (1828-1891), administrator of the port of Dundee . The Cape named by Robertson was identified by the Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey in 1947.
