The e-zine Laut.de rated Capitalism Now with four out of a possible five points. From the point of view of the editor Sebastian Hüfing, the “ dystopian and misanthropic worldview ” of the two rappers runs like a “ red thread through the album ”, whereby Capitalism Now is “ anything but easily digestible rap food ”. In addition to socially critical pieces such as the title song, which is an “ ironic-biting comment ” on “ predatory capitalism which has become unpopular in the course of the financial crisis ”, there are also numerous “ storytellers ” such as Windows on the World on the publication. Furthermore, Kapitalismus Jetzt contains battle rap songs that “stand out more from the dark atmosphere ” but remain “ relatively traditional in terms of the lyrics ”. In summary, the album appears to be “ made from one piece ”, but offers a little too little variety over “ the full distance [...] to be considered the masterpiece expected by many. "
