Sammühle district

The Sammühle is a district of the Titting market in the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The mill property is located in the north-western part of the southern Franconian Jura east of Titting in the Anlautertal on a derivation of the Anlauter and at the foot of the 530 meter high Fuchsberg. From the state road 2390 ( Emsinger Straße) running in the valley , a connecting road leads to the district.

history

At the end of the Old Kingdom, the mill, at that time the ninth from the origin of the Anlauter, was subordinate to the prince-bishop-Eichstättischen Hofkastenamt Titting- Raitenbuch . After secularization , the mill with Titting became Tuscan in 1802 and royal Bavarian in 1806. For 1805 it is said that the mill had a “ linestamp ”. In 1823, eleven people lived in the property. In 1835 the property consisted of two houses in which 15 "souls" lived. In 1846 there is only talk of one house, one family and ten “souls”. About 15 years later, the mill property, which now consists of three buildings, is inhabited by eight people. In 1891 the half-timbered barn with a steep gable roof was built, which is considered a monument.

In the 20th century, grinding was stopped and a sawmill was put into operation. In 1950 there were seven residents, in 1970 eight. The place was uninhabited at the 1987 census.

With Titting, the mill came from the Middle Franconian district of Hilpoltstein to the Upper Bavarian district of Eichstätt as part of the regional reform in Bavaria in 1972 .
