The house Kaplanei 9 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The building is located in the historic Quedlinburger Neustadt on the south side of the street Kaplanei, opposite the confluence of an entrance to the Neustädter Kirchhof. The residential building registered in the Quedlinburg monument register is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . Kaplanei 8 , which is also a listed building, is adjacent to the east .
Architecture and history
The core of the two-storey half - timbered house was built around 1700. There is a mezzanine floor on the ground floor . Around 1800 the building was rebuilt in the classicism style. The window sockets were made of stucco . In addition, there were massive sills .
The building was renovated and rebuilt around the beginning of the 21st century. The plastering was removed and the framework exposed. A large dwelling and two dormers were inserted into the steep roof of the house .
