Kapuka John Thom
Kapuka John Thom (* 10. January 1918 in Otjijandjasemo , South West Africa , † 31 October 2009 in Opuwo ) from 1996 until his death in traditional leader of the Vita , a clan of the Himba - Herero in what is now Namibia . He had the traditional title of Ombara .
Thom ascended the throne on August 29, 1996.
He was buried on November 17, 2009 next to his father Oorlog Harunga Thom . Before that, there was a celebration on November 9th with 2000 guests, including numerous traditional guides . Thom left behind 3 women, 14 children and 123 grandchildren.
