The men's high jump at the 1995 World Athletics Championships was held on August 6th and 8th, 1995 in Gothenburg's Ullevi Stadium .
World Champion was the for Bahamas launching Troy Kemp . He won ahead of the Cuban defending champion, Olympic champion from 1992 and vice world champion from 1991 Javier Sotomayor . Bronze went to the Olympic third from 1992, Vice World Champion from 1993 and Vice European Champion from 1994 Artur Partyka from Poland .

qualification
August 6, 1995, 10:15 a.m.
35 participants competed in two groups for the qualifying round. The qualification height for the direct entry into the final was 2.29 m. Four athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the eight athletes placed next to twelve jumpers (highlighted in light green). The failed attempt rule was also applied. In addition to the eight athletes who qualified for the final, there were four other non-qualified athletes who had jumped 2.27 m.
The jump heights in the two qualification groups were as follows:
2.10 - 2.15 - 2.20 - 2.24 - 2.27 - 2.29
