The shot put men at the 1995 World Championships in Athletics was born on August 8 and 9, 1995 in Gothenburg Ullevi Stadium discharged.
The shot putters from the United States won two gold and bronze medals in this competition. John Godina won his first of three World Cup titles . He won ahead of Mika Halvari from Finland . Bronze went to third place in the World Cup in 1993 , Olympic third in 1988 and world record holder Randy Barnes .

31 participants competed in two groups for the qualifying round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 19.80 m. Seven athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the five next-placed athletes to twelve throwers (highlighted in light green). So finally 19.00 m had to be achieved for participation in the finals.
