Mika Kristian Halvari (born February 13, 1970 in Kemi ) is a Finnish athlete . His competition weight was 140 kg with a height of 190 cm.

His most successful year was 1995, when he first won the World Indoor Championships in the shot put in Barcelona in March and five months later won the silver medal at the 1995 World Athletics Championships in Gothenburg.

At the 1997 World Championships in Athens , Halvari was fifth.

In 1993 he passed the 20-meter mark for the first time, making it the eleventh shot putter in history to reach this distance. In 1995 Halvari set up his best performance in Hämeenkyrö with 21.50 m. In the hall it stands at 22.09 m.

Mika Halvari started at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. With a width of 19.37 m he missed the final by three centimeters as 14th of the qualification.
