The men's 50 km walk at the 1995 World Athletics Championships was held on August 10, 1995 in the streets of the Swedish city of Gothenburg .
World champion was the Finnish vice world champion from 1993 Valentin Kononen . Silver went to Giovanni Perricelli, who was third in the Italian European Championship in 1994 . The Pole Robert Korzeniowski won his first bronze medal at a major international event. His track record in the years that followed made him one of the best walkers in sports history.
