The men's 50km walk at the 1999 World Athletics Championships was held on August 25, 1999 in the streets of the Spanish city ​​of Seville .

World champion was the Italian Ivano Brugnetti . He won ahead of the Russian Nikolai Matjuchin . Bronze went to the American Curt Clausen .

The original winner German Skurygin from Russia was subsequently disqualified for using gonadotropins and banned for two years.
