The women's triple jump at the 1999 World Athletics Championships was held on August 22nd and 24th, 1999 in the Olympic Stadium in the Spanish city of Seville .
In this competition, the Greek triple jumpers won two medals with gold and bronze. World Champion was Paraskevi Tsiamita , which established a new Weltjahresbestleistung in qualifying. She won before the Cuban winner of the 1999 Pan American Games, Yamilé Aldama . Bronze went to the reigning European champion Olga Vasdeki .

25 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 14.20 m. Exactly twelve athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). So the final field didn't have to be filled any further and these jumpers entered the final two days later.
