The women's triple jump at the 1995 World Athletics Championships was held on August 8 and 10, 1995 in Gothenburg's Ullevi Stadium .
World champion was Inessa Krawez from Ukraine, second in the long jump in 1992 . Before the Bulgarian World Cup third in 1993, she won Iwa Prandschewa . Bronze went to the Russian defending champion, reigning European champion and previous world record holder Anna Biryukova .
The level in this competition was extremely high. World champion Inessa Krawez set a new world record with 15.50 m. Second placed Iwa Prandschewa also outbid the old mark by nine centimeters with her 15.18 m. The bronze medalist Anna Birjukowa stayed with 15.08 m only one centimeter below the previous world record, which she had set herself at the 1993 World Championships . The widths of fourth-placed Russian Inna Lassowskaja and Romania's Rodica Mateescu in fifth were also high-class with 14.90 m and 14.82 m respectively,

Record improvement
The Ukrainian world champion Inessa Krawez improved the existing World Cup - and at the same time the world record in the final on August 10th by 41 centimeters to 15.50 m.

qualification
August 8, 1995, 5:45 p.m.
32 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 14.05 m. Eleven athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the next placed athlete to twelve jumpers (highlighted in light green). So finally 14.03 m had to be achieved for the final.
