The women's 10,000 meter run at the 1995 World Athletics Championships was held on August 6th and 9th, 1995 in Gothenburg's Ullevi Stadium .

The world champion was the Portuguese European champion from 1994 Fernanda Ribeiro , who won another medal three days later in the race over 5000 meters with silver. Second place went to 1992 Olympic champion Derartu Tulu from Ethiopia . Bronze went to the Kenyan Tegla Loroupe .
