The women's 10,000-meter run at the 1991 World Athletics Championships was held on August 27 and 30, 1991 in the Olympic Stadium in the Japanese capital, Tokyo .
With silver and bronze, the Chinese long distance athletes won two medals in this competition. World champion was the British Olympic runner-up from 1988 Liz McColgan . Silver went to the Asian champion from 1989 over 3000 meters and two-time winner of the Asian Games 1990 (3000 / 10,000 meters ) Zhong Huandi . Wang Xiuting , winner of the Asian Games over 10,000 meters in 1986 and second in 1990, won the bronze medal.
