Lisbon is a town in New London County in the state of Connecticut in the United States with 4,338 inhabitants. The municipality is named after the Portuguese capital Lisbon .

Lisbon is framed by the Quinebaug River and the Shetucket River and is about 25 kilometers north of New London , the capital of the county of the same name .
