Claudia Dreher

Claudia Dreher (born May 2, 1971 in Magdeburg ) is a former German long-distance runner who had her greatest successes on the marathon route .

In 1993 she became German cross-country champion . In 1997 she repeated this success and won the Houston and Lisbon marathons .

At the marathon of the European Championships in Budapest in 1998 she was tenth, and as third overall in the Frankfurt Marathon she was German marathon champion in the same year.

In the following year she set her personal best and the current course record in the Hanover Marathon with 2:27:55 h at the same time and then came ninth in the marathon of the 1999 World Championships in Seville in 2:29:22 h. So she qualified for the Olympic Games in Sydney, where she could not start due to illness.

In 2000 she finished third at the Frankfurt Marathon, in 2001 she won again at the Lisbon Marathon, and in 2002 and 2004 she won the Cologne Marathon . In 2005 she took third place in the Hamburg Marathon and then won the Cologne Marathon for the third time. At the marathon of the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 she finished eleventh in 2:33:53 and fourth at the Frankfurt Marathon of the same year. In 2007 she was eighth in the Hamburg marathon in 2:33:58 h, and in 2008 she won the Tokyo marathon in 2:35:35 h.

Claudia Dreher started for the SC Magdeburg , the LG Olympia Dortmund , the TSV Bayer Leverkusen , the SC Riesa , the Gänsefurt sports movement and the LG Ihleläufer Burg . She finished her studies in communications in 2006 and has been managing director of the company "dynavia" since 2009.
