Rosanna Munerotto

Rosanna Munerotto (born December 3, 1962 in Santa Lucia di Piave , Treviso Province ) is a former Italian long-distance runner .

As a track runner , she took part in the Olympic Games twice: over 10,000 m she came in 14th place in Seoul in 1988 and 16th in Barcelona in 1992. At the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo in 1991 , she took 15th place over the same distance. In 1993 she became Italian cross-country champion .

However, she achieved her greatest success in road running . In 1992 she won the Maratona d'Italia in 2:29:34 h and won bronze in the first edition of the World Half Marathon Championships . In 1994 she was eighth in the marathon of the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki and won the Great North Run , and the following year she won the Turin marathon in 2:29:31 h and the half-marathon route of the South Tyrol Marathon . In 1996 she finished second in the Venice Marathon .
